pony colors!

during this summer i've been playing around with the idea of creating a 'new' unnatural color palette of some sort. and now i'm finally satisfied with the colors.

so, here are the colors & their names. 22 in total:


and here are the colors applied on neena needles hair texture;


so where did the color inspiration come from? retro my little ponies (generation 1)! their mane colors, to be exact.
at first i was just sampling colors from pictures i found, but then i bumped into a website full of mane colors with some creative names (and so, the names came from there as well)..

i retextured three hairs (my very first retextures!) and recolored them with these colors. rose 0079 ('m not sure if that's what the mesh is called?), newsea bliss and newsea iris.

right now the palette is called 'pony' or 'pony colors' ... not very exciting :C
