an idea of a safehouse for the zombie challenge

these have been edited, i wanted them to look sort of dramatic

a warm welcome right at the entrance... judging from the blood, some zombies have already been here :)

even though it definitely looks like one, this is not supposed to be one of those generic, 'deliberately spooky old houses', this is actually an inn/shelter for homeless people.
it was originally built and administered by a group of highly religious people.
these days there are no workers taking care of the homeless or the building/its surroundings, so things have gotten out of control...

even though a proper apocalypse sky should be fully red, i think this red/purple thing works too

the cold, dead streets

these things must have been laying around here for a looong time, even the tracks beneath them have been removed..
this area is the poor part of an otherwise huge and modern city

actually, for these people, this is not just junk. for them, these pieces of trash are like treasures - a lot of the homeless who live/lived here are compulsive hoarders.

look! it's the sky! again! i was extremely tired when i took these pictures ...

back onto the ground level. that cross right there... the homeless might have had a pet of some kind (a stray cat/dog, most likely), and after its death they buried it here, right next to their precious treasure collection...

first completed indoor area: the hobby room. what is there to do? sewing, painting, playing the piano!

again, my mind has been wandering... well, this pic shows more of the dirt outside!
